".... This film was designed to be projected on a special screen-sculpture
whose surface comprised, at precise places, reliefs representing
heads (moulded on that of the author) and of 3D arms. The film appeared
on the screen in such way that part of the projected heads fell
on those in relief, and were deformed by them...." |

It
is during these years in Philadelphia (years very black for Lynch
who considered this city as the most dark and decadent of all)
that he will create " Six figures ".
Regarded as
a Film-painting, this work will cost him not less than 200 $ and
will be presented to the exposure of its school (Pennsylvania
Academy of Fine Arts) in 1966. Let us specify how this one will
help Lynch to obtain a price! He will sell another Film-painting,
five times more expensive than the old one to a millionaire who
saw his work.
